New Mercedes SLK caught testing
Wed, 15 Jul 2009The next generation (2012) Mercedes SLK caught testing at the Nurburgring The next generation SLK looks to be more aggressive in stance, with a nose that takes on the family theme from the new Mercedes E-Class. It seems likely that the new SLK will come with a new set of engines, with more than a passing nod to eco-concerns. Jaguar XF Diesel S (2008): first details
Mon, 29 Dec 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 29 December 2008 00:31 Jaguar today announces a family of new higher-powered diesel engines, led by a rapid 271bhp version of the derv XF that's aimed squarely at the BMW 535d. It's the fastest diesel Jag ever – and will also slot into the XK coupe and cabrio. The diesel work-out is good news for the XF – today's 2.7-litre V6 turbodiesel doesn't have the clout to mix it with the best German engines. We've already complained about the slothful performance of our long-term test XF and the new, bigger 3.0-litre oil-burner should answer such criticisms.

De Tomaso seems fated to lurch from one financial crisis to another – as it has throughout its history – with the latest efforts by former Fiat executive Gian Mario Rossignolo to revive the marque floundering for investment. And it looks like Rossignolo has given up the fight and sold out to unnamed investors.
