GM recalls ATS, XTS and Impala for brake lamp fix

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Cadillac's 2013 ATS and 2013 XTS and the 2014 Chevrolet Impala are being recalled by General Motors because of a potential problem with the brake lamps. The National Highway Traffic Safety Association reports that the brake lamps may "intermittently flash without the brakes being applied, and the cruise control may disengage." The report states this could cause a crash if the following driver isn't warned to adjust vehicle speed. The recall impacts 1,627 copies of the sedans, and comes just two months after the new Chevy Impalas began rolling off production lines.

Want your 2013 Mercedes E63 AMG to look like an E220? Now you can.

Mercedes are to offer a Business Line Pack for the 2013 E63 AMG which tones down its extreme looks and makes it look more prosaic. If you run a successful business, it’s important to look the part. But it’s equally important not to shout about your success (well, it is in Europe) too loudly or your workforce might think you should be paying them more instead of indulging your petrolhead side, and customers might decide you’re overcharging them if you look too flash.

2011 Ford Flex goes Titanium

Thu, 20 May 2010

Taking a page from its SEMA playbook, Ford is rolling out a top-of-the-line, semi-blinged-out people hauler for 2011, the Flex Titanium. It's dressed up for a night on the town, or a trip to soccer practice, and was devised by Ford product gurus who noticed most Flex customers tend to take high levels of content in their vehicles. The Flex Titanium has a unique black chrome-finish grille with Flex badging on the edge of the hood--a cue straight from SEMA models in 2008 and 2009.
