Jaguar F-Type price & performance revealed
Tue, 25 Sep 2012We’re still a few days away from the debut of the Jaguar F-Type at Paris 2012, but prices and performance for the F-Type are already revealed. Yet another in the series of stories with leaks on the new Jaguar F-Type continues with the revelation of European prices for Jaguar’s new sports car. Following on from the first leak of a single F-Type photo and this morning’s full F-Type photo gallery, Auto Bild are now reporting European prices for Jaguar’s baby roadster.
BMW i3 Range Extender engine adds 10% to the price
Fri, 11 Oct 2013BMW i3 Range Extender engine adds 10% to the price The BMW i3 – BMW’s first foray in to a world of electric cars – was officially revealed in July – and due on sale in 2014 – and seems, by electric car standards, to be almost affordable. At a starting price of £30,680 – £25,680 after the taxpayer bribe for EV buyers – it’s no more expensive than other electric cars and does come with some clever technology – and the BMW badge – that will help it move out of showrooms. But as we reported as far back as 2011, the BMW i3 is to get a range-extender option – a small petrol engine that kicks in to recharge the batteries when they get low – which will make the i3 a much more practical proposition.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster makes its first appearance
Fri, 18 Oct 2013The first photo of the Lambnorghini Veneno Roadster Back in July we exclusively revealed plans for a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, and it looks like it’s almost here after the first photos leaked on to the Interwebs. The Veneno Roadster – the roofless version of the Veneno which debuted at Geneva in March – is the next instalment in Lamborghini’s on-going mission to sell titivated versions of its regular cars at very silly money. Under the titivated and extreme exterior of theVeneno Roadster lies a Lamborghini Aventador, but the price for turning an Aventador Roadster in to a Veneo Roadster is mad – the Veneno Roadster looks set to cost €3.3 million plus tax – enough for ten Aventadors.
