High bidder will win these engines.

You are looking at a pair of Detroit Diesel Engines.  Model 6V53 with Borg Warner Transmissions.

I put them in my Sport Fisher and used them for a trip from San Diego to Vancouver BC in 2012.  No problems at all.  They have been sitting in dry dock for 3 years now.  Will need a tune up   Don't believe they will require anything else.  Cruised up the coast at 9 knots on 45' Sport Fisher while sipping fuel.  With the right props, you could probably see 17 knots at full throttle on similar type vessel.

They originally came out of a 1972 Christ Craft 45' with 750 hours on them.

Engine Specs:

6V53's.  1 right hand, 1 left hand rotation.
Natural Aspiration.
210 hp each.
Borg Warner Transmissions.
1250 total hours on each engine

Details of Sale:

Sold as a pair only.
Include starters, alternators, coolers, transmissions.  (does not include the R & D Shaft Alignment Coupling on the end of the transmission)
Engines are secure on skids and can be shipped anywhere in North America - each skid weighs approx. 1500 lbs. Or Pick up in Great Vancouver BC.
Engines will be cleaned up, and shrink wrapped for shipping. They will have to go freight, on a truck.  Shipping payment the responsibility of the purchaser.
Buyer will pay shipper directly, however I can help facilitate from this end (quotes, pick up).
Sold as is. (but outside of a tune up, some painting before putting them in your boat, you shouldn't have any problems with these engines)

Further Info:

Main picture is from 2011 when I painted them prior to installing for my trip.
Other pictures show the engines in vessel (being dismantled) in spring of 2016.

Engine on skip after being removed from vessel on June 14th, 2016.

Engines need a coat of paint to make them look fabulous again!

Please email me with any questions about the engines, fitment in your vessel, shipping, etc.  Always happy to answer questions and concerns.

Please note: The R & D flexible shaft coupler shown on the engine on the skid pictures IS NOT included in the sale.

Volvo V40 Cross Country & V40 R-Design: Paris 2012

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

Volvo has revealed the V40 Cross Country and V40 R-Design at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and both are convincing. The sporty take on the new V40 is the V40 R-design, a cosmetic update for the already good-looking V40 that manages to bolt on go-faster bits without wrecking the good lines of the normal V40. We would like to have seen the Volvo V40 R-Design get the sports suspension as standard, but Volvo obviously feel that most R-Design buyers want the looks rather than the more dynamic ride the sports suspension offers, so it stays as an option. And as the R-Design option is available across the new V40 range – from the D2 to the T4 – it’s probably the right decision.

Rear-drive revelers: Spring Fest draws LX devotees to California love-in

Fri, 03 Jun 2011

Long before Eminem boosted the image of Detroit and the Chrysler 200, Fatchance was getting the West Coast party started for Chrysler's rear-drive LX cars. Fatchance is the Internet handle of John Fortuno, a man who--like many others we met at the Sixth Annual Spring Fest for LX owners--claims his car, a 2005 Chrysler 300C, changed his life. It introduced him to www.LXforums.com, a worldwide virtual car club that has more than 38,000 members dedicated to the Chrysler LX rear-drive platform used by the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger, Challenger and Magnum.
