New Porsche 911 Club Coupe revealed
Sat, 26 May 2012New Porsche 911 Club Coupe - just 13 being made Porsche built its first car in 1948 and it took just four years for the very first Porsche Club to arrive - Porsche Club Westfalen. To celebrate 60 years of Porsche Clubs, Porsche is building a very limited edition 911 – the Porsche 911 Club Coupe – which will be revealed at the opening of a special exhibition at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart tomorrow – 26th May 2012 – and just thirteen 911 Club Coupes are being built. Although the collaboration between Porsche Clubs and Porsche Exclusive will yield thirteen cars just twelve will be up for grabs and they will be allocated by ballot, with the thirteenth car staying in the Porsche Museum.
UK New car sales hit 394,806 in March 2013
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The latest figures from the SMMT show that new car registrations in the UK in March 2013 hit 394,806, up 5.9 per cent over March 2012. The seemingly inexorable rise in new car registrations in the UK is continuing, with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reporting sales in March 2013 up 5.9 per cent on March 2012, with a total of 394,086 cars registered. These figures mean that new car registrations have grown for thirteen consecutive month and are now at their highest level since the Government introduced the Scrappage scheme in 2010 to try and breathe new life in to the market and encourage buyers to opt for low emission cars.
A Fine Time To Be A Motorist
Fri, 03 Jan 2014ALREADY cash-strapped motorists are paying millions of pounds for minor infringements after a record number of fines were issued, according to claims made by a national newspaper. The Daily Mail said that drivers are paying out £135 million a year after being caught on camera blocking box junctions or straying into bus lanes. Some 1.32 million fines were issued for minor offences in 2011/12, the newspaper said, a record number and a rise of 16% on the previous year.
