Pforzheim University - Honda F1 'off track' project
Fri, 19 Sep 2008Students of the Masters in Transportation Design course at Pforzheim University in Germany have been working on a rather special project: to create designs for ‘off-track' cars for Honda's F1 drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, incorporating Honda's environmentally conscious fuel-cell technology. Sponsored by Honda R&D Europe, the project has been running for the last three years. This year the vehicles had to be designed with a theme based on a GP host country of each student's choice.
College Exhibition: Coventry Degree Show 2006
Fri, 07 Jul 2006Transportation and product design students at Coventry University in England recently displayed their work in the school's summer degree show, one of the two graduation shows per year. A total of 74 students graduated in various fields including Automotive Design, Transport and Product Design, Vehicle Design, Boat Design and Consumer Product Design. With such a large body of graduating students, Coventry have wisely chosen to introduce a separate 'Selected Works' show this year for industry guests, which also opened to the public for one week at the end of June.
Nissan Nuvu 2+1 and Pixo at Paris (2008): first official pictures
Mon, 08 Sep 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 08 September 2008 10:27 Nissan's Nuvu - a futuristic 2+1 urban concept car - and a new Suzuki Alto-based city car will make their debuts at the Paris motor show in October 2008. The Nuvu name literally means ‘new view’, so the concept previews urban transportation for the next decade. Pictures won’t be released until Paris, but we know the Nuvu will feature similar electric technology to the EV-02 prototype and the production EV that Nissan will unveil at the 2009 Tokyo motor show.
