This Brass 4 Axis Gimbaled Oil Lantern was the galley/dining lantern on my sailboat in Hawaii for many years. It is completely functional, & a beautiful build quality. Comes with a full wick that fine adjusts smoothly. The Danish DHR lamp in antique brass is an elegant yet practical way to illuminate your marine vessel or create a nautical theme in your home. The yacht lamp safely sits inside the multi pivoting gimbal, yet is effortlessly removed from the gimbal and can be used as a traditional table lamp. It has a fitted smoke bell that is practical as well as a good looking accent to your nautical decor. The antique brass gives this lantern a tradition look.

McLaren P1 gets 903bhp

McLaren has revealed that their new supercar – the McLaren P1 – will deliver 903bhp and have emissions below 200g/km. The McLaren P1 will get 727bhp from its 3.8 litre V8 with an additional 176bhp coming from an electric motor for a combined power delivery of 903bhp, with the V8 contributing 531lb/ft of torque and the electric motor an instant 192lb/ft for a combined torque of 664lb/ft at 4000rpm. The boost from the electric motor is instantly available at the flick of a button on the steering wheel – McLaren call it Instant Power Assist System (IPAS) – which instantly throws more additional power to aid the McLaren’s V8 than a pair of Fiestas can manage.

GM recalls small cars to fix steering problem

A problem with the power-steering system is prompting General Motors to recall 1.3 million small cars. There have been reports of 14 crashes and one injury related to the steering problem, GM said on Tuesday. The recall covers 2005-10 Chevrolet Cobalts and 2007-10 Pontiac G5s sold in the United States.
