Porsche 911 GT3s to be given new engines after fire issue

The Porsche 911 GT3 (pictured) is getting a new engine Last month, after two new Porsche 911 GT3s caught fire, Porsche stopped delivering new 911 GT3s to owners, halted production and advised owners not to drive their new pride and joy. But now Porsche say they have discovered the cause of the issue and have a fix – a new engine. The fault that caused the fires is as simple as faulty connecting rod fasteners which damaged the crankcase, so Porsche is in the process of building new engines for all 785 GT3s already made with new connecting rod fasteners.

The Fiat 500C Pink convertible hits the UK - but only 300 of them Fiat have been busy doing what BMW have done with the MINI – and Audi seem intent on doing with the new A1 – namely churning out special editions all over the place to keep punters interested and make sales. Fifth Gear on TV – the Return

Fifth Gear Returns to TV in April with a new format Fifth Gear was everyone’s second favourite car show on TV. And that second favourite label seemed to be its undoing when FIVE decided last year to ditch the show after it failed to make any impact on the ratings against everyone’s favourite car show on TV – Top Gear. But FIVE (channel five if we ditch the trendy CAPITALS) have had a change of heart, done a syndication deal or two for Fifth Gear and are putting together a new series (they’ve actually commissioned two of them) which should hit TV screens at the end of next month.
