Tinted 7 Color 1500 F Pyrometer EGT Gauge
Fits all makes and models
GlowShift’s Tinted 7 Color Series 1500 Degree Pyrometer Gauge is essential for any diesel truck that is driving long distances or pulling heavy loads, and ensures your exhaust temperature is not running too hot which result in engine failure. This pyrometer gauge reads from 0 to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit and includes a type K thermocouple that features 6 feet of steel braided cable and 1/8th NPT threads, allowing you to install the probe directly into your exhaust manifold. GlowShift’s pyrometer gauge also includes some incredible features like, stepper motor technology, 7 color through dial lighting, an easy to read red illuminated needle, as well as a low profile tinted lens. The included stepper motor gives this pyrometer gauge the perfect combination of extremely accurate gauge readings along with incredibly smooth needle movement. GlowShift’s 7 Color through dial lighting lets you select from 7 different solid color, along with 2 color cycle modes, letting you match your factory dash lights or add a custom look to the interior of your vehicle. Connecting this gauge to your factory headlight switch allows it to dim up to 30% for easier night driving, and with the color memory recall feature you don’t need to worry about adjusting the color of your gauge every time you turn your vehicle on. For those who do not want to drill and tap their exhaust manifold, the included type k probe can be installed using GlowShift’s Exhaust Temperature Bracket. GlowShift stands behind all of its products by including free lifetime technical support and a one year limited warranty with every gauge purchase.

GM recalls ATS, XTS and Impala for brake lamp fix
Thu, 06 Jun 2013Cadillac's 2013 ATS and 2013 XTS and the 2014 Chevrolet Impala are being recalled by General Motors because of a potential problem with the brake lamps. The National Highway Traffic Safety Association reports that the brake lamps may "intermittently flash without the brakes being applied, and the cruise control may disengage." The report states this could cause a crash if the following driver isn't warned to adjust vehicle speed. The recall impacts 1,627 copies of the sedans, and comes just two months after the new Chevy Impalas began rolling off production lines.
Tesla Model S owners will receive upgraded charge adapters
Mon, 13 Jan 2014After a garage fire in Irvine, Calif., in November of last year in which an overheated charging system for a Tesla Model S sedan was stated to possibly have been involved, Tesla will be sending out upgraded wall-charger adapters to all Tesla Model S owners. This upgrade comes on the heels of an over-the-air software update for the charging system in the Model S sedan. Software version 5.8.4 would enable the charging system to automatically reduce the charging current by 25 percent if the system detects unexpected fluctuations in the input power, essentially slowing the charging current and reducing the heat created in any high-resistance connections if the car senses that the current is unsteady.
