The 2014 Mercedes C-Class is being recalled for a steering fault The new Mercedes C-Class only started to arrive in the UK this year, but Mercedes is already having to recall 8,146 UK cars after a steering fault became apparent. The problem is with the steering column coupling lock which may have been fitted incorrectly. If your car is affected you’d normally find the steering getting noisy, but even if it isn’t displaying and obvious signs Mercedes still want to check it out.

Vladimir Antonov rides in with €30 million for Saab's coffers It was always an odd move by GM, or the Swedish Government, or whoever it was that decided the deal  for Spyker to buy Saab could only go through if Spyker’s money man – Vladimir Antonov – stepped down. It’s understandable if you have genuine concerns about the credentials of a party to the deal, but taking Vlad out of the equation was an accident waiting to happen. Without Vlad there was no financial safety net for Saab.

The 2015 SMART ForTwo & SMART ForFour Mercedes has been busy teasing their 2015 SMART car, and now its revealed. SMART believe they’ve kept everything that’s great about the current SMART, and ditched everything that was poor. In particular, the awful automated manual ‘box has been ditched in favour of a five-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch auto, instantly making the new SMART more appealing to drive.
