BMW Z4M? Sorry, it’s the Z4 M-Sport
Sat, 19 Sep 2009BMW are testing a Z4 with an M-Sport package round the Nurburgring I suppose that at least this way you can have a Z4 that looks the part- with bigger wheels and bumpers and maybe even a suspension tweak or three – without having to bother with the big price ticket or the not inconsiderable running costs. To be fair, the Z4 sDrive35i is not particularly slow. It will manage to get to 60 mph in around 5.0 seconds; handles well and looks so much better than the Z3 did.
Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Supercar ready for testing
Mon, 10 Sep 2012Jaguar are ready to start road testing the C-X75 hybrid supercar next month with a 2014 launch target. Jaguar Land Rover are continuing to move strongly forward with new cars like the 2013 Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque and XF Sportbrake. But for a car maker with aspirations of being one of the leading luxury and performance marques in the world, a halo supercar is a must and Jaguar are looking to the C-X75 hybrid supercar to be their Ferrari F70 or Porsche 918 Spyder.
AA Survey says 40% of UK roads are in a ‘Terrible’ state
Wed, 07 May 201440% of our roads are in a ‘Terrible’ state We all moan about how bad the UK’s roads are after several years of extreme weather and even more years of underinvestment in road repairs. Now the AA has revealed that a survey of 29,911 of their members reveals that 40 per cent of local roads are considered to be in a ‘Terrible’ state, 34 per cent of main roads the same and just 11 per cent of local roads considered ‘Excellent’. None of which will come as a surprise to Cars UK readers; we get endless emails on the subject from disgruntled readers bemoaning the dangerous state of our roads and asking what can be done.
