Land Rover Freelander 2 Facelift (2011) Revealed
Wed, 04 Aug 2010The tweaked - and more powerful - Land Rover Freelander 2 2011 Back in May we reported that there would be a facelift for the Freelander 2 for 2011, with the required cosmetic tweaks to keep it fresh for another year or two, and to bring the Freelander 2 in to line with the rest of Land Rover’s models. Here we are three months later and Land Rover have revealed the 2011 Freelander 2 – and a surprise. The surprise is that Land Rover aren’t waiting for the Range Rover Evoque to hit the roads to piss off the Land Rover aficionados by launching a 2WD model, they’ve decided to get it out of the way early and are going to launch a 2WD Freelander 2 in January 2011.
BMW ready to shift small coupes, convertibles to even-number nameplates
Tue, 14 Jun 2011Reports in Europe say that BMW is planning a shake-up in the naming strategy for its smaller coupes and convertibles, as well as planning to shift its 1-series cars onto a front-drive platform. The nameplate shake-up will have coupe and convertible variants of the 1-series become the 2-series, while coupe and convertible variants of the 3-series will become the 4-series. The changeover is expected to start in 2013, according to a report on the Web site of Car magazine.

Tue, 04 Mar 2014The Rolls Royce Ghost Series II (pictured) debuted at Geneva When Rolls Royce gives one of their cars a rare facelift it becomes the ‘Series II’, and that’s exactly what we get at Geneva today with the reveal of the facelift for the Ghost – the Rolls Royce Ghost Series II. Perhaps the most noticeable cosmetic change is the new headlights which make the front look less square and get daytime running lights round the edge,a revised RR grill with slightly more curved uprights, revised bumpers, extra chrome highlights and a new channel running up the bonnet from the Spirit of Ecstacy. Inside, Rolls Royce has added new electric seats in the back which can be angled towards one another, new voice control, and a new touch-sensitive controller for the 102″ Infotainment screen. Extra choices of veneer are now on offer as is even more extended leather.
