Lincoln MKX concept revealed ahead of Beijing auto show

Lincoln has pulled the covers off its new MKX crossover concept, which is set for a global debut at the upcoming Beijing auto show. Following on the heels of the MKZ sedan and the 2015 MKC crossover, the redesigned MKX will be the third of four vehicles Lincoln says it will introduce by 2016 (the restyled Navigator doesn't count, apparently). Larger than the compact MKC, the MKX concept wears many of its smaller sibling's styling cues -- from the new split Lincoln grille to the lightly sculpted beltline to the upturned full-width taillights.

Call for ban on in-car hands-free phones

Road safety charity Brake is calling for a blanket ban on in-car hands-free phone systems. Using a hand-held phone while driving is already illegal in the UK, so a proposal to prohibit even hands-free kits would completely eradicate calling from behind the wheel. Design Contest: Citroen Creative Awards

Citroën is hoping to repeat its successful design and graphics competition, which began last year, with the launch of the 2011 iteration of the Creative Awards contest. The Citroën Creative Awards aims to find new talent by ‘opening up your ideas'. The inaugural competition from last year saw the winning roof and IP graphic design put into the DS3 and placed on public display on the Champs-Elysees.
