Auto enthusiast YouTube channel XCar recently interviewed Charles Morgan, managing director of Morgan Motor Company, about the British car company, its AeroMax coupe and “automotive theater.” Morgan joined the family business in 1985. His father ran the company before him and his father, Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan founded the company in 1910. Morgan says he thinks that the Aeromax -- which happens to be his daily driver -- is one of the most beautiful cars in the world.

That may not have been the case a few decades ago when automakers were forced to hang those big, ugly so-called federal bumpers off the ends of their vehicles.  With vehicle safety standards on the rise around the globe are designers today feeling a little '70s deja vu when it comes to meeting the challenges of making cars safe as well as more fuel efficient? "(Back then) we said it was the end of automotive styling," says Patrick Le Quement, senior vice president for corporate design at Renault and one of the world's most influential automotive designers.

Audi has taken its tin-opener to the RS5, to create this RS5 Cabriolet. Powertrain-wise, it's mechanically identical to the coupe, only now there's a soft-top roof that'll fold away in 15secs at speeds of up to 31mph.  Folding the roof swallows 60 litres of the boot's 380-litre capacity, but it's the sonorous engine that we're more interested in...
