'Need for Speed' Mustang to be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 28 Feb 2014With the release date of “Need for Speed” looming on March 14, Ford said on Friday that the film's star, a customized 2014 Mustang GT, will roll across the auction block April 12 at Barrett-Jackson in West Palm Beach, Fla. The silver screen celebrity is not your average GT. It was massaged by the folks at Ford and given a bag full of goodies.
Kia four-door sports sedan concept
Fri, 19 Aug 2011Kia isn't giving much away about its Frankfurt-bound concept car, indeed it hasn't even released its name yet, referring to it as the 'four-door sports sedan concept.' The press release talks of it as 'signalling a distinctive new design direction' for the Korean brand, yet the now-familiar 'tiger-nose' grille and Optima-esque A-pillar/cant rail/C-pillar highlight are very much in evidence. "No matter from which perspective you look at it - this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for take-off," says Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors Chief Design Officer."I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia: we are ready to fast forward to an all new chapter." Volvo tuner Polestar reveals production S60 and V60 models
Wed, 27 Nov 2013It's not every day that we can tell you about a performance-tuned station wagon that is actually coming to the U.S., but today is one of those rare days. Volvo racing and aftermarket tuning specialist Polestar has revealed details of their production versions of the V60 wagon and the S60 sedan, which are bound for the U.S. The S60 and V60's 3.0-liter T6 engine has been tuned to produce 350 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, which is said to give it a 0 to 62 mph time of 4.9 seconds, on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
