BMW i3 (2013) at Frankfurt motor show
Mon, 29 Jul 2013The new BMW i3 offers the potential dream ticket of carbonfibre construction and zero tailpipe emissions (not to mention a posh badge) for £25k. It’s an electrically driven city car designed from the ground up to be as eco-friendly as possible, but still a decent drive. The all-new city car's order books will open this summer, with the i3 range officially launching on 16 November.
Kia Pro_Cee’d GT & Cee’d GT to get 201bhp
Tue, 04 Dec 2012Kia has revealed that their warmed over hatch will come as both a 3-door Kia Pro_Cee’d GT and 5-door Kia Cee’d GT, both with a 201bhp turbo. Last week we revealed that the Kia Pro_Cee’d GT is on its way in 2013 with a version of the 1.6 litre turbo found in the Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and upset Kia ion the process. We upset Kia because we got the news a day ahead of their intended release and stole a bit of their thunder, but Kia are back with more news on the Cee’d to add to last week’s news, and this time they beat us to the latest news on their more sporty offerings.
Volvo S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country on the way
Thu, 28 Aug 2014The Volvo V70 (pictured) will become the new Volvo V90 All the talk for Volvo lately has been the new 2015 Volvo XC90, an impressive offering that really does look like it will take the fight in the ‘Premium’ SUV market to the Germans (and even to Land Rover). But the new XC90 is just the start of Volvo’s new model line-up, and the next couple of years will see more new models arriving with Volvo’s new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) and the new range of 4-cylinder, 2.0 litre engines. What we now also know, thanks to Volvo’s Dennis Nobelius, is that the replacements for the S80, V70 and XC70 won’t use the current nomenclature but will be given new names to better reflect their upmarket aspirations (and their place in Volvo’s new line-up).
