Hence the name for this kit “DPI” stands for Denso Pin. Also, the Denso alternator is characterized by a metal cover on the back, held on by 3 nuts. Some people think there is a voltage regulator built into this alternator. There is not. It’s in the on board computer. The Denso alternator is common in hi and low amp versions.
