Dodge Brothers Starter Generator Model Ga 3804a 12 Volt For Parts on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Akron, Ohio, United States

Akron, Ohio, United States
Condition:For parts or not working Brand:Dodge Brothers

Offered here for your consideration is an early Dodge Brothers Starter Generator. It is from late teens to early 20s. It is NOT complete. I opened the end to show you that the brushes are not there. The case is intact and the fuse appears good. Patent dates show 1918 thru 1920.
This was used as a donor piece to rebuild another unit. I am not sure what was used as I only left it with the shop with three others. It may very well be able to be rebuilt. Brushes are cheap and can be purchased here on ebay.
The unit is very heavy ( about 45 lbs). Please ask questions before bidding. Please inquire about shipping cost as I can invoice at the end of the auction and will try to reduce the cost.  I also combine shipping. I started the auction price low to let you be the judge as to what you think it is worth.
