Volvo V60 Polestar costs £49,775 – just 175 coming to the UK

Mon, 12 May 2014

Just 175 Volvo V60 Polestars (pictured) coming to the UK We did expect, when the Volvo V60 Polestar was made official in November last year, that it would be a regular production model. That probably makes sense with Volvo busy updating their entire range, but it does mean there will be just 750 cars built, of which 175 are earmarked for the UK – the biggest allocation of any market.

Renault Alpine A110-50: Official & on video

Fri, 25 May 2012

Renault Alpine A110-50 - it's official The Renault Alpine A110-50 – based on the Mégane Trophy platform with a Renault DeZir body – is officially revealed. And now, as promised, Renault has revealed their first Alpine in almost twenty years in the A110-50, a car that has the underpinnings of the Megane Trophy and a body that seems to owe most of its DNA to the electric Renault DeZir Concept.

Exclusive: Pierre Castinel resigns from Head of Design role at Tata

Fri, 05 Mar 2010

Tata's Head of Design, Pierre Castinel, has resigned from his post to accept a position at PSA, Car Design News has learned. Castinel was originally hired to develop the design direction and form a brand identity for Tata's full line of vehicles, including cars, pickups, SUVs, MPVs, trucks and buses, but things haven't been going well at the Indian automaker. According to insiders, Tata closed Castinel's design studio in the British midlands last year, forcing the UK-based team to move into the automaker's engineering center in Warwickshire.
