Cadillac CTS-V ‘sets saloon Nurburgring record’

It reports the 2009 CTS-V lapped the 13-and-a-bit mile circuit in an impressive 7min 59.32sec.‘This blistering time appears to be the fastest ever publicly documented for a production sedan,’ says a breathless press release. And according to the records we’ve researched, they appear to be correct, although a Subaru Impreza STi Spec-C also lapped in 7min 59sec.It leaves us wondering who else is going to launch an assault on the Nordschleife’s 73 corners.

The lineup of debuts expected for this year's Frankfurt motor show include a redesign for the venerable Porsche 911. Now, Porsche has treated us to a little preview, courtesy of a video posted on its YouTube channel that chronicles some final validation and hot-weather testing of the next-generation 911 in Africa. Jaguar chooses ‘XE’ name for new small sports saloon (2014)

The new sub-XF fastback, scooped by CAR in a world exclusive earlier in 2014, will be available from early 2015, with four-cylinder engines first. Eventually, you’ll be able to choose from, rear- and four-wheel drive versions, including a 550bhp flagship hot rod.
