Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 first of string of new Peugeot hybrids
Tue, 28 Jun 2011Peugeot will launch the new 3008 HYbrid4 crossover in autumn 2011 as the world's first diesel-electric hybrid car - and it's the first in a string of hybrid cars coming from Peugeot and Citroen. The 3008 HYbrid4 will be followed by a brace of 508 hybrids in spring 2011, and engineers have told CAR that any car on the mid-sized PF2 and full-sized PF3 platforms can use the same innovative electric 4wd architecture. Although pricey at £26,995, Peugeot expects to sell 10,000 of the 3008 HYbrid4 in its first full year and the parent group PSA Peugeot Citroen is targeting 100,000 annual sales of hybrids as soon as 2015. Fri, 24 Sep 2010Astra GTC Concept Paris Vauxhall sneaked us a peek at the 2012 Vauxhall Astra VXR a couple of weeks ago – slightly titivated and called the Astra GTC Concept admittedly – but the 2012 Vauxhall Astra VXR none the less. And we ran the story, even though there was precious little to say beyond they’d turned the ‘blades’ round on the doors to make it look more butch and that it’d turn up when the 3 door Astra does in a years time. But Vauxhall has decided to throw a little more out there, so we get images of the interior and some firm (ish) news on the oily bits.
Ferrari F70 (new Enzo) 2012 debut confirmed
Sun, 13 May 2012Ferrari F70 - the new Enzo - 2012 debut Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has confirmed the arrival of the new hybrid Enzo – the Ferrari F70 – before the end of 2012. Back in February we were able to report on what we can almost certainly expect from the new Ferrari Enzo (which will probably go back to the F40/F50 model designation as the F70), perhaps most importantly that it will have a hybrid powertrain and be revealed this year. That has now been confirmed by Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo as he reported on Ferrari’s sales performance.
