'Project paradise' up for grabs

IT COULD be project paradise for keen car owners this month, when a series of fabulous cars in need of restoration go under the hammer. The Anglia Car Auctions Classic event will take in project cars from across the decades, with one amazing lot more than 100 years old. Already shown on TV in the UK at the weekend (during the new series of Britain’s Got Talent), the moggie in question – William, apparently – glides effortlessly over the CLA’s slippery shape to a soundtrack playing Rossini’s Duetto buffo di due gatti (which you may not think you know, but you do).

Drivers 'concerned at lack of goodwill'

MOTORISTS have been left concerned at the lack of goodwill among other drivers during this festive period, according to research from Halfords Autocentres. The levels of ‘aggressive, impatient and inconsiderate’ driving increase at this time of year, according to the survey of an unspecified number of car owners. Nearly a quarter (23%) of respondents said that things like lane hogging, failing to indicate properly - or at all - and not letting other motorists out at junctions was a real problem at this time of year.
