In addition to holiday-themed displays assembled by junkyard employees and the occasional sad, flood-victim Volvo Amazon, I frequently find homemade mix CDs and cassette tapes while prowling through wrecking yards. In fact, it would be possible to go into just about any high-inventory-turnover self-service wrecking yard in North America and come away with several dozen such discs and tapes, if anybody ever felt motivated to do such a thing. I haven't, yet.

Eterniti Hemera - the first image You may remember that we ran a story a few weeks ago about a mysterious ‘new’ luxury SUV from a new car company – the Eterniti Hemera. Well, they’re back with a bit more of a drip-feed of information as the debut of their first car – which they dub “… the world’s first Super-SUV” – grows closer. We’d speculated that Eterniti wasn’t a car maker but was instead an after-market customiser; simply taking an existing car and making it ‘special’.

Mercedes SLK (2011): new roadster revealed

This is the new Mercedes SLK, the third-generation version of Merc’s folding metal roof-equipped roadster. Rather than forcing the new Mercedes SLK to share the limelight with the facelifted C-class at the 2011 Detroit motor show, Merc has revealed the all-new SLK a few days after this year’s NAIAS started. Let’s start with the looks, and this latest SLK has adopted the latest Mercedes DNA from the CLS and SLS.
