The Subaru Impreza Concept - video below The Subaru Impreza Concept wasn’t something we expected at the Los Angeles Motor Show last week, but it was welcome news nevertheless. The Impreza’s design has become tired and dated and needed an injection of something fresh, which the Impreza Concept certainly seems to offer. Of course, the Impreza at LA is a concept car and gets some of the usual concept fripperies like cameras for mirrors and no discernible door handles, but the basic design stands up well and should be almost all there when it goes in to production.

Ferrari has unveiled the fastest roadgoing V8 in its history: the new Ferrari 458 Speciale. These first photos reveal the new supercar ahead of its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. This is a harder, high-performance version of one of MSN's favourite V8 supercars.

The College for Creative Studies (CCS) has appointed Sally Erickson Wilson as associate professor and chair of its new Master of Fine Arts degree program in Color and Materials Design. Erickson Wilson moves to the school from Johnson Controls where she was design manager responsible for leading the North American fabric design team. As chair of the course, Erickson Wilson will be responsible for the graduate curriculum and will help students to develop an eye for color differentiation, materials craftsmanship and quality assessment.
