-- Hard to believe it's been 20 years since the passing of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, but one Jalopnik reader remembers the bloody weekend in San Marino vividly. A dream vacation in Europe cumulating in the ill-fated Grand Prix: Alan Dahl saw Senna's wrecked car coming into the pits, but like the rest of the crowd, he wouldn't find out Senna's fate until he left the track. Marc Gene takes the 2010 Ferrari F1 (F10) up the Goodwood Hillclimb 2011 Goodwood is Disneyland for petrolheads, with the world’s greatest cars and greatest drivers wallowing in three days of high-octane worship at the alter of the internal combustion engine. Everything from classic road cars to the latest F1 machinery crowd in to thisĀ gloriousĀ corner of England, safe in the knowledge that they are among friends; no global-warmists here wagging a condemnatory finger. The Bloodhound SSC – aims to hit 1,000mph   The current world record stands at a relatively measly 763mph (measly certainly in comparison to the target set by the Bloodhound SSC Team) and the technical obstacles the Bloodhound team has had to overcome to get their record attempt on target have been substantial. The Bloodhound design has gone through ten evolutions in the last year and has now settled on a plan that has overcome initial obstacles. The first evolution of the Bloodhound saw the 200kg rocket sat above the EJ200 Eurofighter Typhoon jet engine, but that didn’t develop sufficient thrust.
