Saab to get BMW turbocharged engines in 2012
Wed, 29 Sep 2010Saab Automobile and BMW AG announced an agreement Wednesday that will supply engines for Saab's next-generation 9-3. Under the agreement, BMW will provide Saab with four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engines starting in 2012. The engines will be adapted to meet Saab's specific requirements.

"The new Prius model has been excessively popular, inconveniencing some of our customers, and the factories are working overtime at full capacity," Takahiko Ijichi, Toyota senior managing director, said Tuesday at the company's quarterly earnings announcement. Drayson Racing and Michelin compete for EV record
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Drayson Racing Technologies and Michelin are joining forces to make a run at the FIA World Electric Land Speed Record on Tuesday with the Drayson B12 69/EV prototype. In addition to a record attempt this will be a real-world test for the car, which will also compete in the 2014 FIA Formula E Championship. The car was originally powered by a 5.5-liter biofuel Judd engine, but it has now been converted to full electric drive.
