Peugeot 208 Hybrid FE (2013) at Frankfurt motor show
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Here’s Peugeot’s salvo in the fight to make cars more economical: the 208 Hybrid FE. The supermini concept can achieve a claimed average of 112mpg (and a maximum of 141mpg), and emits only 49g/km of CO2. Peugeot is especially keen to point out it’s a conventionally shaped supermini with five seats, unlike VW’s own super-frugal XL1, which looks decidedly sci-fi in comparison, but has a smaller boot than a Ferrari 458… The 208 FE is 25% slipperier and 20% lighter than a regular 208, but that’s only part of the reason it allegedly achieves such eye-opening numbers at the pumps.
Suzuki S-Cross production version at Geneva 2013
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The Suzuki S-Cross – which arrived at the 2012 Paris Motor Show as a Concept – will arrive in production guise at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Paris Motor Show last year saw Suzuki roll out a concept for a new C-segment crossover – the Suzuki S-Cross Concept – which was clearly close to production ready. So it’s no surprise that the production version of the Suzuki S-Cross is arriving at the Geneva Motor Show next month – before heading for a Suzuki dealer near you by the end of 2013 – looking very faithful to the S-Cross Concept design.
Bentley Flying Spur V8 (2014) first official pictures
Tue, 25 Feb 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 25 February 2014 14:00 This is the politically correct Bentley Flying Spur. No really – the Flying Spur V8 has a downsized engine: a twin-turbo V8 rather than the existing car’s bi-turbo W12. It’ll be revealed at the 2014 Geneva motor show, along with a boosted Continental GT Speed model mustering even more power for 2014.
