July Debut For Citroen’s New C1 City Car

THE BATTLE for hearts and minds in the city has just got hotter with the launch of Citroen’s second generation C1 urban runabout. Although the diminutive French hatch shares much with its Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo stablemates, the C1’s bold new exterior look shares more with recent arrivals such as the firm’s new Picasso people carrier. GM may extend Saab deadline, report says

General Motors is prepared to wait beyond the end of this week before deciding on the future of Saab as it reviews remaining bids, Bloomberg News reported. The news agency quoted Saab board member Paul Aakerlund as saying that if there is a bid that GM finds sufficiently interesting, then GM's Dec. 31 decision to wind down its Swedish unit "is not a date that's holy.” Aakerlund said GM told Saab last week that it would wind down Saab and simultaneously continue talks with bidders about a sale, said Aakerlund, who also heads the IF Metall union at Saab.

THERE'S not a lot that the two disciplines of circuit racing and applying make-up have in common, but Citroen and Benefit decided to change all that ahead of this weekend's Silverstone Grand Prix. The cheeky French car brand has introduced the third in its line-up of DS3 special edition models built using inspiration from the famous cosmetics label. This new DS3 DSign Noire, inspired by a new eyeliner from Benefit, took part in a unique 'Fast & Fabulous' race against its two designer siblings at the home of British Formula One, where racers and beauty bloggers had to complete a lap of the track in the DSign Noire, the DSign by Benefit and the Dstyle by Benefit.
