Renault toasts triple anniversary

IT’S A BIRTHDAY bonanza for Renault this week, with three important anniversaries set to be celebrated at the Rétromobile Show in Paris. It’s 30 years since the debut of the Espace people-carrier, and although the model isn’t sold in the UK any more it still has a cult following across Europe. Each of the four versions makes up part of Renault’s installation.

Coventry University's School of Art and Design recently held an exhibition at the Coventry Transport Museum for the 18 students graduating from its MA Automotive Design course. The projects consisted of a number of innovative and exploratory concepts, almost half of which, interestingly, were presented in digital form. Citroen DS3 DStyle Pink & DSport Pink special editions revealed The Citroen DS3 is one of our favourite cars – although it is starting to get a bit long in the tooth now –  and Citroen has decided to give New Year sales a bit of a boost by launching a pair of ‘Pink’ Special Edition DS3s for the UK. Both Pink Special Editions – the DS3 DStyle Pink & DSport Pink – come with a fuchsia pink roof, door mirrors and wheel centre caps and a fuchia pink painted dashboard and colour-cided gear knob to carry on the pinkness inside. Either model can be had with a Polar White or Perla Nera Black paint job and extra toys to make them a bit more appealing, with a total of four engines available across the DStyle and DSport.
