While Europe moves onto the fourth generation Opel Corsa, GM do Brasil has used the second series of the B-segment car as basis for the new Chevrolet Prisma. Unveiled at the recent Sao Paulo Auto Show, the small four-door sedan uses the 12-year old platform to compete with the Dacia Logan, which will go on sale in Brazil next year along with a host of rivals from China. The styling is largely derivative, the rear in particular owing to Ford and Honda products.

Static cameras and ‘spy cars’ fitted with video surveillance equipment could be banned in England following communities secretary Eric Pickle’s statement that he wanted to “rein in over-zealous and unfair rules.” The government isn’t looking to eradicate parking enforcement altogether, however. The new 2010 / 2011 BMW 5 Series It’s been coming for a long time – the 2010/2011 BMW 5 Series – and just last week we had a picture of the new 5 Series from a German magazine. But now BMW has finally gone official and revealed all the goodies on their mid-size saloon of the future – the 2010 BMW 5 Series or, if you’re in the US, the 2011 BMW 5 Series. The new 5 Series migrates to the same underpinnings as the new 5 Series GT and 7 Series – and for that matter the Rolls Royce Ghost – which means this new 5 Series loses the traditional suspension struts and gets a multi-link arrangement all round.
