Google driverless cars ‘safer than humans’

The Internet search giant has been developing its controversial autonomous cars for several years, adapting a fleet of 10 vehicles – including six Toyota Prius hybrids, three Lexus RX450h off-roaders and an Audi TT – to drive by themselves. And so it is that Mini will show the Mini Inspired By Goodwood at the 2011 Shanghai auto show. Just 1000 Minis Inspired By Goodwood will be built (in Oxford, not Goodwood), with worldwide sales starting in spring 2012.
