This is a temperature (1 inch) indicator removed from a Douglas aircraft during tear down. It is in good condition without damage to the housing or connector. The glass is not cracked and the needle is in place. The data tag reads INDICATOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL VALVE POSITION, DOUGLAS SCD 7957134-507, US GAUGE PART NO. SRL-92G. It is not tagged and I have no way to test it so it is being listed AS IS. Thank you for looking and please see our many other aviation auctions.

The Volvo V40 (pictured) gets Volvo’s new Drive-e engines Last year Volvo revealed its new, efficient and flexible Drive-e engines and plans to offer them in the S60, V60 and XC60 with a 179bhp D4 and a 302bhp T6. Now, the new Volvo V40 is getting Drive-e powertrains. Both the V40 and the V40 Cross Country are getting Drive-e engine options, with both the D4 diersel and T5 petrol coming on-stream from May 2014.

Despite the second snowpocalypse of the year and the reappearance of the polar vortex, the American Midwest and Northeast are not the coldest places in the world right now, contrary to what you might have felt this morning during your commute. So the Petsmart parking lot in Schenectady, New York is going to have have to have to get a few degrees colder if it wants to make it in the Guinness Book of Records. The title holder of the coldest inhabited place in the world happens to be the district of Oymyakon in Russia, though it's a bit further south from the Arctic Ocean than you'd expect.
