Draw-Tite was started in 1946 by Bill Whichello, an inventor. Bill's first product was a clothes line tightener. He called it a Draw-Tite. Unfortunately, that was about the time residential clothes dryers became popular and there wasn't much call for the original Draw-Tite. Fortunately, Bill was also an avid RV'er. He built a trailer hitch for his car and, since he already had the name copyrighted, he called it a Draw-Tite. Soon, Draw-Tite became a symbol of craftsmanship in the towing industry. The basis of Draw-Tite's continued success is that our trailer hitches are custom-fit for each vehicle. This makes them easy to install. A dealer simply bolts Draw-Tite's one piece, welded trailer hitches to the vehicle's frame. Most installations take 30 minutes or less. Our trailer hitches are covered by a Nationwide/Lifetime limited warranty. We have over 10,000 dealers throughout North America. So wherever you live or travel, there is always a knowledgeable and helpful Draw-Tite dealer nearby. This is especially important when you consider nearly 100% of our consumers use their trailer hitch to tow outside of their local area. If they need assistance, the dealer they bought from can easily be hundreds of miles away. Currently, Draw-Tite manufactures over 750 different trailer hitches and over 600 accessories and parts covering approximately 3850 vehicle applications. We operate a manufacturing facility totaling 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art production capabilities in Goshen, Indiana. Seven regional warehouses offer same day shipment of orders up to 2,000 lb. placed by 2:00 PM. That meant the Q7 had a bit of an edge when it launched, as it was newer than its competition, but it also means the Q7 is still soldiering on when its competition has already launched newer, shinier models. But Audi are working on fixing that, and fixing the biggest criticism of the Q7 in the process – its sheer weight and size.
Audi TT SUV concept: official sketches
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Audi is set to reveal an all-new SUV concept car based on the Audi TT at the Beijing Motor Show. The new Audi concept will be the second time the brand has floated the idea of a TT-style SUV this year, following the unveiling of the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake show car at January’s Detroit Motor Show. The new Audi SUV concept will have more of an ‘off-roader’ feel than the Shooting Brake, and so will take its styling cues from the Audi Q-model SUVs, as these images show.
Toyota Trucks get TRD accessories at Chicago Auto Show
Wed, 05 Feb 2014In pursuit of the Ford Raptor, the just-announced aftermarket Lingenfelter Reaper and who knows how many other desert-stompin' pickups and SUVs, Toyota introduced the TRD Pro Series of off-road vehicle packages at the Chicago Auto Show. The Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner each get kits designed by Toyota Racing Development that will be installed at the factory. All TRD Pro Series kits will include: - TRD Bilstein remote-reservoir shocks - TRD-tuned front springs - TRD front skid plate - A bunch of cosmetic touches like TRD floor mats and shift knobs.
