Draw-Tite was started in 1946 by Bill Whichello, an inventor. Bill's first product was a clothes line tightener. He called it a Draw-Tite. Unfortunately, that was about the time residential clothes dryers became popular and there wasn't much call for the original Draw-Tite. Fortunately, Bill was also an avid RV'er. He built a trailer hitch for his car and, since he already had the name copyrighted, he called it a Draw-Tite. Soon, Draw-Tite became a symbol of craftsmanship in the towing industry. The basis of Draw-Tite's continued success is that our trailer hitches are custom-fit for each vehicle. This makes them easy to install. A dealer simply bolts Draw-Tite's one piece, welded trailer hitches to the vehicle's frame. Most installations take 30 minutes or less. Our trailer hitches are covered by a Nationwide/Lifetime limited warranty. We have over 10,000 dealers throughout North America. So wherever you live or travel, there is always a knowledgeable and helpful Draw-Tite dealer nearby. This is especially important when you consider nearly 100% of our consumers use their trailer hitch to tow outside of their local area. If they need assistance, the dealer they bought from can easily be hundreds of miles away. Currently, Draw-Tite manufactures over 750 different trailer hitches and over 600 accessories and parts covering approximately 3850 vehicle applications. We operate a manufacturing facility totaling 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art production capabilities in Goshen, Indiana. Seven regional warehouses offer same day shipment of orders up to 2,000 lb. placed by 2:00 PM. Caterham Cars launches engineering business
Thu, 29 Sep 2011Caterham Cars has created a separate engineering business, Caterham Technology and Innovation Ltd (CTI). It is one of the first moves since Team Lotus Enterprises took control of the company in April. Caterham Technology and Innovation will develop a new line of lightweight sports cars inspired by the Caterham Seven and draw on materials and knowledge gained from Team Lotus Formula One and the Caterham Air Asia Team in the GP2 Series.

The Intrado (HED-9) looks to be a compact SUV/Crossover and features Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design, showcasing the design future of Hyundai now Peter Schreyer is pulling the design strings at Hyundai as well as Kia. Hyundai say the Intrado is built round a super-lightweight structure using advanced materials joined with a revolutionary technique which, say Hyundai, could change the way cars are constructed in the future.
Ford B-Max (2012) goes into the great wide open
Thu, 08 Mar 2012Ford hopes a less-is-more approach will lure punters to its new B-max MPV, unique in the supermini segment for having a big hole in the central cockpit instead of a structural pillar. The result is a flexible people mover that's a doddle to load with kids or cargo, Ford claims, thanks to its pillarless opening and sliding rear door. The novel doors landed the £12,500 people mover in the same must-see company as Bentley's grotesque SUV concept and Ferrari's beautiful F12.
