To try and make electric cars do what conventional cars can do is a pointless task; it’s just not possible, certainly without quantum leaps in battery technology which, despite endless claims to the contrary, seems highly unlikely. But that doesn’t mean electric vehicles don’t have a place – they do.

Part 2 of our review of the Peugeot 207 CC The top’s down on the first drive, and close to home are some of my favourite twisty roads; roads I know well and for which I have a myriad of different benchmarks for test cars’ performance lodged in what passes for a brain. Sadly, my expectations and preconceptions were pretty much evidenced in the first corner, as the 207 CC turned in quite well but accompanied by some less than pleasant flexing which I expected to get worse as I pushed on. But it didn’t.

By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 10 December 2013 12:00 Hyundai has announced Shell as the major sponsor of its World Rally Championship and revealed its 2014 livery ahead of its first event – the Monte Carlo Rally – in January. The official name of the team is the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team. It also confirmed a new sub-brand to build road-going performance cars, called N, with further details to be announced.
