Yes, other car shows offer some of what Goodwood does – Villa D’Este, Pebble Beach and Salon Prive are all very good – but none have the depth of petrolhead goodness you’ll find on offer at Goodwood.

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX gets the wide-body look of the STI

The 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX will look more like the WRX STI model by adopting the STI's wide-body look, including a wide track front and rear, and wider tires. The front and rear tracks of the 2011 WRX are 1.5 inches wider, compared with the 2010 model. Wheel diameter remains at 17 inches, but the wheels get an inch wider at 8 inches.

The Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo 2010 arrives in Sytner showrooms in July Actually, the 2010 Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo launched at the Geneva Motor Show a couple of months back, but in amongst all the glitz, glamour and endless launches we don’t seemed to have picked it up. Slapped hands all round. The Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo is something we’ll probably have to get used to in the M3 – no V8.
