Nissan Juke-R (2012) goes into production

  Nissan has announced that its Juke-R prototype will enter limited production on a build-to-order basis. Yes, really. The Juke-R is the result of the Nissan Europe Technical Centre in Cranfield teaming-up with UK motorsport engineering firm RML to stuff the powertrain of a Nissan GTR into a Nissan Juke bodyshell to create 'the world's fastest crossover'.

While the first video presented the projects envisaged by the 10 student teams following the initial brief supplied by Peugeot and the second episode brought us into the sketching phase undertaken by the 30 students, this third video outlines the different scenarios illustrated by each student group and takes into account social objectives, space constraints and environmental issues that will influence consumers of the future. Ikuo Maeda to replace Laurens van den Acker as General Manager of Design at Mazda

Ikuo Maeda has been appointed General Manager of Mazda Motor Corporation's Design Division. He replaces Laurens van den Acker, who has decided to leave Mazda to pursue other interests. Following on from the successful tenure of van den Acker, Maeda will lead the Japanese automaker's global design team and be responsible for the overall design and styling of Mazda's global products.
