2013 Mazda CX-9 debuts before Australian show

Mazda will fully reveal the 2013 CX-9 SUV at the Australian International motor show in October. It appears that Mazda couldn't wait that long, as the company just released a few images of the redesigned people carrier, which now looks like the big brother to the CX-5. It features the Kodo design language that we've seen at several auto shows, which lends it a sportier look than previous models.

The Volvo S60 Polestar – a BMW M3 basher – is due to debut in Gothenburg on 16th June 2012 and could get as much as 500bhp. Yes, Volvo are busy downsizing their engines and trying to up the quality perception of their cars at the same time, in an aim to join the proper premium club inhabited by the likes of BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Jaguar. General Motors chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner has agreed to "step aside" after pressure from the Obama administration last week, ending his eight-year tenure at the helm as the company seeks additional federal aid. He's been replaced by GM President and COO Fritz Henderson, effective immediately. GM confirmed the moves shortly after midnight Monday.
