Toyota FT-86 to get Subaru 2.0 litre Boxer engine

The Scion FR-S Concept - the North American Toyota FT-86 It’s actually starting to look as if Toyota – and Subaru, for that matter – are really going to finally get their respective fingers out and deliver to the market the affordable sports cat they’ve been promising for the last two year. Opel/ Vauxhall Zafira Tourer

Following on from its Geneva motoshow debut, Opel/ Vauxhall have announced that the Zafira Tourer is to head into production. Retaining much of the concept’s overall design, the new Zafira Tourer is heralded as a ‘quantum leap’ from its manufacturers. An extensively re-designed Flex-7 seating system, focus on improved cabin quality and improved materials sees the Zafira elevated in terms of cabin luxury.

Used car sales hit record high

USED CAR SALES were at their highest in five years in 2013. There was a 0.9% increase in used car trades, with more than 6.8 million exchanges of ownership recorded, though this is still some way behind the previous record high of 7.8 million used car sales in 2008. Analysis from Experian shows cars aged nine years old or over were among the strongest performers in the used car market, with sales up 6% in 2013 compared to the previous year.
