Ford Start Concept – Beijing
Thu, 22 Apr 2010Ford will unveil the Start Concept - a global city car - at the Beijing Motor Show We really didn’t see this coming – at least not yet – but Ford have pulled off a surprise ahead of the Beijing Motor Show by unveiling a Global City Car – the Ford Start Concept. We’re pretty sure this really is just a concept – although no doubt a direction pointer for Ford’s aspirations - but the 3-pot Ecoboost engine in the Ford Start is definitely not a concept engine. Hyundai i20 facelift and Veloster Turbo at 2012 Geneva motor show
Mon, 05 Mar 2012Hyundai has significant new model news and a piece of range expansion to announce at the 2012 Geneva motor show with the unveiling of a facelifted i20 supermini and a spanking fresh turbo diesel for its Veloster coupe-cum-hatchback. One at a time now – will the Veloster line up neatly behind the i20 please. What’s happening to that then? Perhaps slightly stung by critics in some quarters dismissing the Mk1 i20 as being rather Euro-bland, the Korean’s all-new i20 is a rather pretty-looking thing. Nose-wise it has a wide-mouthed, grinning hexagonal grille and little creases filtering up from it and the headlamp cluster, which look uncannily like laughter lines.
Lamborghini Aventador drives record Lamborghini sales in 2013
Wed, 12 Mar 2014Record Aventador sales drive Lamborghini’s turnover It would not have been unreasonable to think that Lamborghini’s turnover for 2013 would be less than 2012, especially as the Gallardo was about to be consigned to the history books to make way for the Huracan. But nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, despite the Gallardo’s demise at the end of 2013, Lamborghini managed to increase its turnover in 2013 to €508 million – up €39 million on 2012 – and break records for V12 sales in the process.
