Nissan Resonance SUV: 2013 Detroit Auto Show

The Nissan Resonance SUV Concept has been revealed at the Detroit Auto Show, previewing many design cues for the next generation Nissan Murano. The Resonance Concept has been designed by Nissan’s design team in California with what Nissan are calling ‘boldly futuristic aerodynamic styling’ and gets a hybrid powertrain with a 2.5 litre ICE engine with a pair of electric motors, CVT ‘box and a laminated lithium-ion battery pack. The Resonance gets a design they’re calling ‘V-Motion’, which is meant to flow the design through the car from the front grill, move through the bonnet with the boomerang headlights adding to the flow.

As we can see from the new photo, the XFR-S model will get an even more aggressive bodykit than the standard XFR, as well as carbonfibre elements up front. General Motors is looking to inject some newfound flair into its North American product lineup. Effective June 1, Bryan Nesbitt, currently Executive Director of Design at General Motors Europe will become Vice President of Design for North America and relocate to the company's technology headquarters in Warren, Michigan. The 38 year old, credited with the forward-thinking but retro PT Cruiser design in 1996, began his career at DaimlerChrysler and became the youngest design executive when he was appointed Executive Director of Body Frame Integral at General Motors in 2002.
