Description: Free your engine's horsepower on the wings of Eagle H-beam connecting rods. Their 2-piece, forged, vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel construction provides outstanding strength, while still weighing much less than stock rods. Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, X-rayed, sonic-tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and then shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal. The rods have precision cap alignment sleeves to positively locate each rod cap, silicon bronze bushings for floating pin models, and are available in stroker models that allow additional cam-to-rod clearance for large stroke combinations. They come standard with 190,000 psi rated ARP 8740 and 230,000 psi rated ARP 2000 rod bolts, or 265,000 psi rated ARP L-19 bolts as upgrades. Instructions and rod bolt lubrication are included.

Jay Leno does Top Gear w/video

Fri, 10 Jul 2009

Jay Leno – petrol-head extraordinaire – is this weeks’ Top Gear Star in a Reasonably Priced Car Jay Leno, probably best known for his US chat show (retrd.) – and his hosting of the launch of the new Jaguar XJ – is the personification of the wealthy, true petrol-head. For the first time Jeremy will have a guest who probably knows more about more cars than he does. Jay certainly owns more cars than most of us could manage in a lifetime.

Nissan LEAF £2500 UK price drop

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Nissan has revealed that the LEAF EV will be reduced in price by £2500 with immediate effect and ahead of the launch of the uprated 2013 LEAF. The world hasn’t exactly fallen in love with electric cars, which has as much to do with the fact that an electric car, with its limited range, is never going to be a replacement for a normal ICE car. But compounding the impracticality of the EV as a replacement for the ICE car is the very high prices car makers are charging for electric cars, the sort of prices that mean buyers will probably find the ‘Cheap to Fuel’ EV a more costly option than fuelling a much cheaper comparable iICE car with petrol or diesel.

Jaguar F-Type: ‘Desire’ the movie released

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

A part of that has seen Jaguar rope in Lana del Rey as a headline act for the launch and as the chanteuse on a new short film commissioned by Jaguar from Ridley Scott Associates to feature the F-Type in a dramatic role in a half-decent short film. Now, with the new F-Type finally in dealer showrooms in the UK, the pieces of the puzzle have come together and ‘Desire’ has premiered at the London Sundance Festival, and you can view it below. Starring the Ginger Etonian – better known as Damien Lewis and dressed by Burburrey (every penny helps) - Shannyn Sossamon and Jordi Mollà, Desire is a story of “real adventure; a story of betrayal, retribution, passion and greed.”  We hope that’s not meant to encapsulate the F-Type’s target customers.
