It's a fully electric BMW and a hint of what's to come through the long-range visionary Project i plan which will reshape BMWs for the 21st century.No prizes for guessing it's based on an existing BMW production car, the 1-series Coupé. And in three-door form it will become the DS3, as Citroen's tries to take itself up-market and appeal to Mini buyers. Citroen started to design cool cars again when it penned the C4, but it’s been the recent C3 Picasso that has really captured the automotive industry’s attention.
Mercedes-Benz OKs the CLS wagon
Wed, 06 Jan 2010Mercedes-Benz will launch a wagon version of the second-generation CLS sedan as a rival to the recently introduced BMW 5-series GT and the upcoming Audi A7. The new four-door--presaged by the German carmaker's 2008 Concept Fascination two-door shooting brake revealed at that year's Paris motor show--is among a throng of niche-market models under consideration by Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche. "We're seeking to improve our returns by better utilization of existing platforms," a high-ranking Mercedes source told AutoWeek.
