It was 1968 and Opel simply couldn't compete with Mercedes-Benz, the leader in that segment by far. Bob Lutz, then a young executive at GM Europe, thought of using the sedan's chassis to create a large GT Coupe in an attempt to boost both its sales and profile.

There’s also a Porsche logo and stripes down the side and privacy glass, with the interior getting black leather and carbon fibre, a GB Edition plaque complete with Union Jack on the glovebox lid, red stitching and red seat belts.
7th L'argus European Design competition announced
Fri, 06 Jun 2008On 21 June 2008, French magazine L'Argus de l'automobile will launch its 7th European Design competition. Students will have to imagine a new vehicle based on the theme: "Invent a vehicle that is useful for society". The deadline for submissions is December 21, 2008.
