ORIGINAL PAIR OF EARLY "5-RIB" 331-354-392 CHRYSLER-HEMI "DONOVAN" VALVE COVERS OFF OF ONE OF LARRY HUFF'S "SOAPY SALES" DRAG CARS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF RARE DRAG RACE HISTORY!
CONDITION: GOOD USED...SOLD AS-IS!
WHAT I AM SELLING HERE IS AN ORIGINAL PAIR OF 331-354-392 CHRYSLER-HEMI "DONOVAN" VALVE COVERS OFF OF A "SOAPY SALES" DRAG CAR! I BOUGHT THEM MANY YEARS BACK FROM A FAMOUS OLD HOT-ROD BUILDER...WHO SAID THAT HE GOT THEM BACK IN THE 1970's ...WHEN HE USED TO HELP WITH SOME OF THE "SOAPY SALES" RACE CARS! I DODN'T THINK MUCH OF IT AT FIRST...I JUST WANTED A VINTAGE PAIR OF "DONOVAN" VALVE-COVERS FOR A 392 CHRYSLER-HEMI THAT I WANTED TO BUILD...AND THESE FIT THE BILL! ORIGINALLY, I WAS JUST GOING TO REMOVE THE "SOAPY SALES" ENGRAVING FROM THE VALVE-COVERS, BUT THEN A FRIEND OF MINE SUGGESTED THAT THERE MIGHT BE SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT HAD AN ORIGINAL CAR...AND THEY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AN ORIGINAL PAIR OF VALVE-COVERS TO GO WITH IT! BESIDES, I REALLY DIDN'T CARE...AS LONG AS I HAD A SET OF "DONOVAN" COVERS FOR MY MOTOR! SO ANYWAY, THAT'S WHY THEY ARE FOR SALE NOW! THEY LOOK TO BE IN NICE CONDITION...HOWEVER, I CAN SEE WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN MODIFIED AND REPAIRED OVER THE YEARS...PROBABLY SO THAT THEY COULD BE USED WITH THE CHRYSLER-HEMI VALVE-TRAIN GEAR THAT WAS EVOLVING IN THE 1960's and 1970's! Bad-tempered driving increases over winter
Fri, 03 Jan 2014We’re officially a nation of grumpy drivers – not helped by the bad weather and the end of Christmas festivities, a survey has revealed. Halfords Autocentres carried out a study about how winter affects motorists and found that experiences of impatient, aggressive and inconsiderate driving increase at this time of year. On Bing: see pictures of road rage British drivers ‘lack common courtesy’ Rory Carlin from Halfords Autocentres: “It seems that the festivities take their toll on the nation’s road manners and tempers flare leading to less kindness and unselfish behaviour from some motorists.” 23% of respondents felt that unfriendly and bad tempered behaviour was a major issue during the winter months, while a fifth said there was a rise in aggressive and impatient driving.

Because we’ve been hearing from lots of places – our sources and the sources of others – that Lexus are going to endow its GS with a serious amount of V8 grunt (actually, the last report we ran was that Lexus were giving the GS a V10) to take on the uber-exec expresses from the Germans (and the XFR) and create a Lexus GS-F.
