Up for auction is this Early Remy electric company distributor Model 217-C.
We have had this for years are are unsure what it fits.
It appears to be from the Teens , 20's based on the large brass tag style and the fact that the company was not called Delco Remy until later on.
Housing appears to be aluminum or cast metal.
upper plate turns from side to side with the lever but center shaft does not spin. It may loosen up after heating/lubricating ?
brass side nut is not stuck.
Pretty rare distributor. we have not seen any like it.

That’s the date set for the launch of a right-hand drive version of the city car brand’s oil-burning two-seater Fortwo coupe and cabriolet already on sale in Continental Europe. The incredible economy and emissions stats – 85.6mpg and 88g/km of CO2 – are streets ahead of current low emitter champions like the VW Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion and Seat Ibiza Ecomotive, both offering 74.3mpg and 99g/km.
