Up for sale one early model Nissan 300 Z steering wheel featuring the cruise control and radio control buttons on the wheel. This is styled like the wheel installed in the 1984 50th Anniversary models. I have included the switch body that mounts the turn signal / headlight and wiper switch ( no switches ) because it is different from the standard models. Also I have included all the pigtails and connectors from the donor car ( 1986 model ) . These parts should be all you need except a compatible radio and connections ( and of course cruise control if not equipped ) to make this setup functional in your vehicle. I have included the maximum nuber of pics for detail so you know exactly what you are buying.

I will go over some of the specifics and comment on the condition as well. For starters the wheel does have some areas where it is starting to dry out. I photographed the areas close up so use the zoom feature to see them extra close. The worst areas are those most handled and exposed to the sun over the years such as the upper 12 o'clock portion and the upper edge of both spokes. The horn button pad is good, but the emblem shows wear around the edges and pitting. The switch buttons are all in good shape, none broken. The grey finish on the center portion around the switches is good overall but has some areas that have began to rub off. The white lettering identifying the buttons function is all clear and bright. In the fourth pic you can see the horn switch and transmitter for the steering wheel controls. I believe there should be a spring ( or something ) on the upper mounting lug of the horn switch that is missing. It seems like the horn would blow continually the way it is now because there is nothing to keep the upper contacts apart until the horn pad is depressed. I am not overly familiar with this design so I could be mistaken. The wheel also includes the rear contact plate as seen in pic 6 . The plate is functional, but three of the four tabs that hold it together are broken. It will come apart when off the car, but once installed it can not and does not effect the function. The plastic backing for the wheel is included, but is missing two of the screws that hold it on and it shows considerable sun fading. The switch body that mounts the column switches is included also. It can be seen in pics 7 & 8 . You will notice the plug-in at the top which connects to the pigtail off the contact plate on the back of the wheel. Standard models did not include this and will be needed to add the steering wheel to a car not originally equipped .

I believe this setup could be used in any 1st gen 300 ZX but I can not confirm that. All these parts were removed from a 1986 model and therefore I can only guarantee fitment to that specific model year and for replacement purposes only. While I have I have made this listing as complete as possible, I am by no means advertising this as a " bolt on " conversion. You will need to do your own research and source factory diagrams to complete the installation and get it functional in your car.

Lexus LFA: Orchestrated and Choreographed

Sat, 21 Jul 2012

We have video of a trio of Lexus LFA drifting and performing at an event in Japan to the strains of Elgar and Rossini. There are only 500 Lexus LFAs in existence, so seeing more than one at a time is quite a motoring spot. To see three together in one place is unusual, even more so when they’re performing a car ballet.

Canadian Grand Prix (2012) RESULT

Mon, 11 Jun 2012

A Red Bull on pole with Sebastian Vettel and a McLaren alongside with Lewis Hamilton. Will we get the seventh winner of 2012 in Montreal? The 2012 Canadian Grand Prix at the Giles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal looked a bit like 2011 at the front, with Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull on pole.

Milano Design Week 2004

Mon, 17 May 2004

In its 43rd year the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (international furniture fair) finally takes on a new, more encompassing name: Milano Design Week 04. The reason for this change in quite simply a question of numbers; the week long fair is no longer only a platform for furniture manufacturers to show their latest collections, it is an enormous manifestation of all that is designed from everywhere in the world. Therefore, and understandably, an event that hosts the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (home ware and furniture), Eurocucina (bathrooms), EIMU (office furniture), Tessile (fabrics), Salone Satellite (young designers), Dining Design, Designing Designers, Material ConneXion, and Street Dining Design deserved a more noble title.
