Mercedes-Benz considering Aston Martin buyout
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Mercedes-Benz is reportedly considering a deal to buyout sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, fuelling rumours that the canned Aston Martin Lagonda SUV concept from 2009 (pictured above) could once again be back on. The move would see Merc increase its current 5% stake in the British brand following a deal announced last year to supply AMG engines for Aston’s next generation of sports cars. Thu, 16 May 2013Johan Schwartz shattered the Guinness World Record for longest sustained drift in a BMW M5 Saturday, completing a total of 322.5 laps and covering 51.278 miles. Schwartz, a BMW Performance Driving instructor, beat the previous 6.94-mile drift record at the BMW Performance Center in Greenville, S.C. using just one set of Continental tires.
