Ferrari F12 & Eric Clapton’s Ferrari SP12 EC at Goodwood

Sat, 06 Jul 2013

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta (pictured) will be at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed The 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed starts on Thursday with the Moving Motor Show, and Ferrari are planning a good turnout including the F12 Berlinetta popping its Goodwood Cherry. It’s nearly eighteen months since the Ferrari F12 was revealed, but this coming weekend it will get a chance to strut its 731bhp up the Goodwood hillclimb. With a 0-62mph of just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 211mph (which isn’t that important up the hillclimb) the F12 promises a stunning spectacle for Goodwood’s visitors.

The contest, which attracted over 800 entries from 87 different countries, was organized into three main categories, in which both experienced and amateur designers were encouraged to take part in. Wouter Van Vugt, a Dutch graphic designer, for his entry ‘Junior Driver', won the ‘Ideas Contest', which focused on the traveling comfort of future Citroën cars.

McLaren DOESN’T stop production of the MP4-12C to fix problems.

Sat, 08 Oct 2011

McLaren MP4-12C problems haven't stopped production The McLaren MP4-12C is McLaren’s first road car in almost twenty years, and it appears that the new 458 competitor from Woking has a few problems. Reports have been cropping up for some weeks that MP4-12C owners have been plagued (well, plagued is harsh) by a raft of problems including a battery drainage issue (something many cars suffer from early on), headlight condensation and glitchy door operation. McLaren are adamant none of the issues affecting the 12C are safety related and it is therefore continuing to build the cars, so although there will be a delay for some new owners in delivery, the issues should cause no long term back log in deliveries.
