You are bidding on a set of NEW, EBC FA417/4HH Brake Pads. This is a complete set of Front Brake Pads = (2) Cards = (2) Calipers = (8) individual pads. moto-heaven / Thrust Company Pro Rider Brandon Cretu @ The Isle of Man TT These are HH, or Double H, performance oriented brake pads. The HH designation means that they offer a very high coeficient of friction. They are also referred to 'sintered metal' type pads because of the high metallic makeup of the materials used. Most modern sportbikes come standard with sintered metal pads. Why use the HH pads vs. the standard organic or Kevlar impregnated pads ? -Under normal use will run cooler and cause less rotor disscoloration and warping. -More precise and accurate feel and control. -More braking force when you need it. -Less effort on the lever/pedal. -Longer lasting.

Video: Michael Mauer on the 991-series Porsche 911
Tue, 08 May 2012Porsche has released a video featuring its Design Director, Michael Mauer, explaining how he and his team went about redesigning the 911, an ‘automotive, engineering icon' as he describes it. "What we as designers are striving to above all is to optimize the width to height ratio with the result that although the 911's width has not increased, the front axle area has become wider, and we've managed to make the roof a bit lower," Mauer explains via a rather dramatic-sounding voiceover.
European car sales down 9.6% Jan 2013. VW Golf sales down 17.8%
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Car sales in Europe continue to decline with sales down 9.6% in January 2013 and the top-selling VW Golf down by 17.8%. In fact, the UK was the only top five market to increase sales, with Germany down 8.6 per cent, France down 15.1 per cent, Italy down 17.6 per cent and Spain 9.2 per cent. Other notable drops included the Netherlands which saw a huge drop of 30.4 per cent, partly driven by tighter emission boundaries on company car taxation.
Concept Car of the Week: Mercury El Gato (1970)
Fri, 24 May 2013Of all the brands that marked American automobile history, Mercury had never been the most popular or the most loved, which ultimately led to its demise in 2011 when Ford chose to terminate the brand. To be fair only a handful of Mercury models are worth remembering: the 1950 Mercury Eight iconic base for custom cars, the 1955 Montclair, the Mustang-based Cougar, the Marauder X-100, the evil Cyclone Spoiler. However one of their coolest creations is fairly unknown mostly due its short concept car life: El Gato, in Spanish translating as "The Cat".
